NEED A PLACE TO TALK?
The Counseling and
Career Development (CCD) Program trains future counselors and is seeking
client volunteers for the fall and spring semesters. Counseling is free of
charge.
Areas for counseling could include, but are
not limited to:
- Career Concerns
- Academic Concerns
- Loss, Adjustment, Transition
- Stress and Time Management
- Handling Anger, Guilt, and Other Emotions
- Relationships
If you have a concern in one of these areas or in a
related area, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity through the
CCD Program.
Client volunteers need to commit to a minimum of two counseling sessions, but counseling may last for the duration of the semester. The information discussed during sessions will be kept
confidential, except for issues such as harm to self and
others and abuse. Sessions will be video and/or
audio taped and viewed for supervisional purposes. The tapes will be kept in a
confidential place and can be erased at the end of the semester. Practicum
students will be supervised by counseling and career development faculty and
Ph.D. students.
