Transfer credits - The School of Education will only accept up to nine credits of course work either taken prior to admission from CSU or another university  or after admission from another university.

Application Deadlines: Counseling and Career Development - February 15th

Educational Leadership, Renewal and Change with a teaching license - April 15th. Please check with the department for all other program deadlines.

*School of Education low GPA policy - students applying with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of a 2.59 or below, will be requested to take two courses at the graduate level at CSU as a Guest Student for the first semester and receive at least a grade of B or better in both courses before our department will process the file for admission for the following semester or year. Taking six credits as a Guest Student does not guarantee admission.  Please contact the program chair of the specialization you are applying to for suggestions on which courses to take. Graduate level courses taken at an institution other than CSU will be decided upon on a case by case basis.

Students applying with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.99-2.6 may be recommended for admission without having to take two graduate level courses prior to admission. That decision is strickly made by the CSU Graduate School once the file has been sent to Admissions for processing.

Please contact the School of Education for other program specialization deadlines.  Graduate School deadlines do not apply for our dept.
